CW2 Theodore U. Church

Theodore Uland Church “TUC” was born in Hazard, KY 2/16/1975 to Darrell and Betty Church. He had two older brothers, Darrell Jr, and Timothy. In 1996 we moved to South Point, Ohio. TUC was 1 ½ years old. He went to Burlington elementary school then to South Point High School. He played football starting at a young age and when he got older. He also did pole vault and wrestling in high school.

He graduated from South Point High School in May 1993. He worked with his dad for a while then joined the Navy in December 1993. He came home in the Spring of 1995 and married his high school sweetheart, Mindi. He got out of the Navy in November of 1996 and spent some time with his dad who passed away in January of 1997. He and his wife Mindi went to college for a time then TUC decided to join the Army. He always liked to play Army with his brothers when he was young. His Dad was in the Army for 8 years. TUC had to go to bootcamp again in Kentucky then went to Korea. He was back here when his daughter Maryn was born then later in Texas his son Dorian was born. He went to Iraq when it first broke out. He was there when they took down the statue of Sadam. Later he went to helicopter school and was sent to Hawaii. He was on his third tour when his helicopter was shot down on May 28, 2007.

TUC was 32 years old when he was killed. He was well loved and is so very missed every day by everyone.
