Jeff Jones was incredibly proud of being able to serve in the US Military Ohio Army National Guard. He retired after 33 yrs of service in 2006, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  During his time in the service he served in various positions in the 1-166 Infantry Battalion, the HHC 73d IN BDE, and HQ 1-148 IN BN. He also served in law enforcement for 25 years with the Westerville Division of Police, retiring in 2005 at the rank of Lieutenant. As a leader, he was highly respected and regarded by those he supervised in both the OH Army National Guard and the Westerville Division of Police. 

His last battle was his toughest with colo-rectal cancer for 6 1/2 yrs and he left this world for his Heavenly home Oct 7, 2025.  His family was at his side the whole time and he is greatly missed by his wife, children, & grandchildren.
